Travelling Starter Company Plus 101 Sessions

(with consultation office hours around the County)

The Starter Company Plus program is a $5,000 grant awarded to a new business concept or an existing business with fewer than 3 years of operation. A successful candidate will have submitted a complete application package that demonstrates economic impact in Huron County. Attendees will receive a copy of the Starter Company Plus application guidelines and an in-depth overview of important dates and specific program information. Attendees will also receive an overview of how to write a business plan, as well as a take-home template.

Elevator Pitch Express Workshop

This one hour workshop will teach you how to create a concise 30-60 second ‘commercial’ about your business that can be used in a variety of different situations.  Learn the three key ingredients of a pitch, the four different ways to hook your listener, and how to tell your story in a way that compels the audience to ask follow-up questions.

Storytelling In Marketing

This presentation will highlight the importance of storytelling in marketing.  When told properly, your story can have a tremendous impact on your audience.  Learn to tell your story in a way that influences others by using simple, yet effective techniques to emotionally connect with your audience.
